5 Reasons To Visit Marbella
If you are thinking of taking a winter sun break this year, you should consider Marbella. It’s not only a winter sun destination, there’s plenty to see and do in the summer too, but it’s a bit quieter in the autumn, spring and winter. But here’s 5 reasons why you should visit Marbella.
Marbella is a warm weather destination. Averaging over 30 degrees in the summer and experiencing much milder winters than us Brits. It’s perfect for an out-of-season break, where you can still wear your shorts and flip-flops.
Marbella has some beautiful coastline. There’s so many to explore. You’d be spoilt for choice. My personal recommendations are Bounty Beach, which is where all the hip and cool kids hang out or Playa Real de Zaragoza - it looks like a tropical paradise.
Being a coastal area, you would expect there to be seafood and there is. Not only is there seafood, there’s amazing seafood. The food quality is extremely high and the service is excellent. You can also get lots of traditional Spanish and Andalucian dishes, including tapas. I love tapas!
Spain is known for Fiesta and Marbella is no different. Expect flamenco, expect fireworks, expect food, expect drink and expect fun. My advice is to dress up and join in the party. Top fiestas are the Marbella Feria in the second week of June or San Pedro Feria in the middle of October.
The streets in Marbella are littered with boutiques. Avenida Ricardo Soriano is your best bet for designer clothes and accessories. There’s also a couple of malls, head to either El Corte Ingles or La Canada for an all day affair. Even if you don’t want to fork out for the pricey designer gear, you can have a lot of fun window shopping in Marbella.
A lot of people consider buying a second home in Marbella for these very reasons. If you are looking to do this, you may wish to have a look at a specialist in this area. I’d love a home-from-home in this fantastic area. Who wouldn’t? What would you add to the list? Have you been to Marbella and found some hidden gems to add to the list?
