Contact Lenses

I’m a glasses wearer. Legally I can still drive without my glasses on – my eyesight isn’t that bad, but I much prefer to have my eyesight ramped up, especially if driving at night. I’m quite an active person, so there are quite a few activities that I much prefer to do when I’m wearing my contact lenses and some of these might surprise you!

Running

I go running with my local running club a couple of times a week. I’ve never worn my glasses when I’ve been out running. I expect it would be okay, but I like the freedom that contact lenses give me. Also, I wonder whether my glasses would bounce around on my nose, as I’m clocking up the miles.

A trip to the hairdressers

I always wear contact lenses when I go to the hairdressers. One because I’ve almost left my glasses at the salon on more than one occasion and two because I’m nosey. I always take my glasses off when my hair is being cut or coloured and I can’t see well enough in the mirrors at what else is going on. People-watching at the hairdressers is a great way to pass the time as you are waiting for your colour to take.

Going on the underground

I’ll caveat this and say on a sunny day. I can’t be bothered with the faff of changing my glasses to my prescription sunglasses when I’m heading out and about in London all day. I’m contacts in, sunglasses on. Either on my face or my head. I’ve normally got enough other things to juggle.

Contact Lenses

Did you know you can easily order your contact lenses online? These acuvue moist for astigmatism lenses would be ideal for someone like me. I have an astigmatism and because I don’t wear my contacts every day, I prefer dailies. Have a look at the range at Lensite - Contact Lenses Online UK.
