5 Ways to Revamp Your Bedroom on a Budget
When we moved into our house, there were a lot of rooms that we wanted to refresh and give a new look to. Our bedroom wasn’t actually one of those. We really liked the wallpaper and fitted wardrobes that the previous owners had chosen, but we did want to add our own stamp, so we used other elements to give it a new look.
Here’s some ideas on ways you can use to revamp a room, perhaps a bedroom, on a budget. This is great if you like certain elements of the room, maybe the wallpaper, paint or carpet. Even better if you don’t have the funds available right now to do a total make over.
I’d start with a new duvet set. This can add a whole new look and feel to a bedroom. It’s also a treat to slide into bed knowing that you’ve got fresh, new linen. Lovely!
If you’ve got something hanging in your bedroom already, you could just replace this with a new piece. If you’ve got bare walls, why not hang a nice picture? It doesn’t have to cost a lot. You can paint a plain canvas yourself. Or why not get a multi frame and choose some nice free stock pictures to print and pop into it.
If you don’t want to go the whole hog and pay out for new bedding, you could just invest in a nice throw. That way you can have a fresh look without having to change too much. You’ll also have something to snuggle under during those cold winter nights.
If you’ve already got a smattering of cushions either on your bed or on a lounging chair, why not mix it up with some new cushion covers. New covers are very inexpensive and you can either choose colours that compliment your scheme or ones that are bright and stand out as a statement piece.
If your carpet is a bit old and threadbare, but you don’t have the budget to replace it, why not invest in a rug. That way when your feet hit the ground in the morning, they’ll be touching a luxurious pile rather than the threads of an old carpet.
What would you change in your bedroom? Have you revamped just using a few key items? It’s definitely possible to revamp your bedroom on a budget.
