There’s nothing more satisfying than creating something for your house or garden. This a really simple craft which will add a smile on your face every time you see it. It’s also lovely as you can grow something amazing in your pot.
Mosaic Plant Pot
I started with just a terracotta ceramic pot and some leftover paint from another project. I gave the pot a good coat of paint and left it to dry for a day.

I bought some mosaic pieces and glue online, but you could easily use pieces from another pot, an old mirror and superglue. I was looking for quite a uniform finish on my pot, that’s why I used pre-cut mosaic pieces.

I chose mirrored pieces in circles and triangles as these would give a lovely pattern along the top. If you were to decorate the whole pot, you would need a lot more pieces. I also chose not to grout this pot as the pieces were quite delicate and were only on the top, you could choose to grout if you wish. I would recommend doing this if you were mosaicking the whole pot.

So here’s the finished pot. What do you think? I think it’s got a lovely finish and I look forward to making more to match.

If you like this mosaic plant pot, you should also take a look at my mosaic mushrooms. These have been done with grouting and have a spectacular finish.

That looks so pretty, and quite simple too which is what I tend to look for in a craft project! I bet it’ll look gorgeous when you have a whole set of them! x #BloggerClubUK
