Something nice and luxurious to look forward to is surely on the cards? I thought it would be fun to dream a little and talk about some of the world’s 7 star hotels. Now, most of us can’t afford to stay in these hotels without taking a second mortgage. But we can look, dream and even if we are in the location, visit the bars and restaurants for drinks or dinner. You can also take a look at these suggestions of bucket list holidays.
There might be a few people who question whether a 7 star hotel even exists. But I think you can decide for yourself on whether the hotels can justify the title of 7 stars.
Burj Al Arab, Dubai
This is the iconic 7 star hotel located in Dubai. The outside of the hotel is shaped like a sail. The hotel is located on a man-made island just off the coastline. You have to have a reservation to even make it across the walkway.
I have been fortunate enough to go there for dinner. My husband and I stopped in Dubai for a few days when we were travelling back from a wedding in South Africa.

Other features that make the Burj Al Arab special are the suites, which come with 24-hour butler service. Anything you need – at any time. That’s what you’d expect for 7 stars.
The Burj Al Arab isn’t the only 7 star hotel in UAE. There’s also Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi and The Pentominium in Dubai.

Hotel Plaza Athenee, Paris
Once travel resumes, perhaps you want to go big but not go too far. The Hotel Plaza Athenee in Paris is another 7 star hotel but you only need to hop on the Eurostar to get there.
Features of the luxurious hotel include 5 restaurants that are overseen by Michelin star chef Alain Ducasse, a Dior Institute spa and even a seasonal ice-skating rink.
Laucala Island Resort In Fiji
Many of the world’s finest hotels are based in cities. But the Laucala Island Resort in Fiji is a beach-based hideaway. Located in the South Pacific, between the rainforest and the white sands, you can book one of the 25 luxurious villas and enjoy a relaxing stay.
If you’re done with the relaxing, the resort offers lots of activities, including boating, horse-riding, golf. They’ve also got their own submarine if that floats your boat (so to speak).
