Break it up

GCSE revision is known to be extremely lengthy and will most likely be the first time a student faces such levels of study. Take some time to sit with your child and come up with a realistic exam timetable. The idea is for them to complete short bursts of study regularly, with plenty of time in between for breaks. Not only does this ensure that they will retain information better, but that the entire syllabus can be covered with time to spare. Make sure they prioritise revising topics that they don’t feel so confident in, as this is where they will gain the most benefits from revision sessions.

A quiet space

Some parents notice that their child thrives in class, but struggles to sit still at home when it comes to study time. This is usually because the home environment isn’t ideal for studying, with distractions being scattered about everywhere they look. Try and create a designated study space for your child to complete all their work in, allowing them the opportunity to warm it up with ornaments and lights to ensure it is inviting. It really will make all the difference.

And that’s truly it.
