Adding A Little Something Extra To Your Basic Outfits
Ad: This is a collaborative post
Basic outfits are the clothes we match together on an everyday basis; there’s nothing really all that special about them, apart from how much we like them, and how comfortable they are to wear. And usually, we’re totally fine with that! We like our basic necessities in our wardrobes, and we don’t need to do too much with them.
However, when it comes to adding a little bit more style and sustenance to your outfits, there are a lot of ways to dress up your more basic looks! And when you’re looking to feel a bit more ‘bling’ in your everyday wear, be sure to keep the points below in mind.
Focus on Your Top Half
The top half of your body is what people are going to be looking at the most, seeing as it’s eye height, and also the dominant half of your body as a whole. So when it comes to adding a little something extra to your basic outfits, you’re going to want to focus on your top half and adding a few accessories to really make it pop.
Something like a scarf around your neck, that’s long, colourful, and patterned. Using a jacket to highlight your frame is also a great way to add a bit more to your basic everyday outfits. And you can always use jewellery like necklaces and bracelets to draw a bit more attention to the drop of your cleavage and the length of your arms.

Highlight the Skin on Show
If you like wearing crop tops, or off the shoulder tops, or simple cami tops, it’s a good idea to highlight the skin you’ve got on show. You’re already comfortable with being able to flaunt what you’ve got, so why not go the extra mile here? It’s definitely a great way to jazz up what you like to wear, especially if it’s a special occasion!
For example, if you have a pierced belly button already, investing in some gold belly bars will definitely catch the eye. They’re bright and shiny, and definitely add a bit of sparkle to your midriff.
Layering is Your Best Friend
And finally, if you’re going to be adding a bit more to your everyday outfits, but you want to start small and build up a bit more confidence, layering is your best friend. There are so many different ways to layer your outfits, and you’ll be able to mix and match like crazy here, and be as creative as you like!
You can start with little things, like basic accessories, or you can add a few more big details in there, like wearing a dress over a pair of jeans, etc. It’s also a good idea to add on colourful items to a block dark coloured base. Either way, layering can draw the eye to the places you really want it!
Your basic outfits are just fine, but could they be better? Be sure to keep tips like these in mind.
