Baby Number Two On Board
I’ve got some pretty exciting news to share on the blog today. I’m sure if you read the title of this blog, you’ve already worked it out, but I suspect if you are clicking through, you want a few more details.
We are excited to announce that we are going to be having a new addition in June this year. Austin will be getting a little brother or sister to play with.

We’re very excited about our new arrival and are looking forward to another little person in our household. Although Austin said at first he would prefer a baby octopus and my husband keeps muttering ‘I need more sleep’.
As we did with Austin, we are going to have a surprise on whether the baby is a boy or a girl. I think it’s nice to keep guessing right until the end. All our early baby clothes are neutral, as is the nursery and we are well kitted out if it’s another boy, plus Austin now has four girl cousins, so I’m sure we won’t be short of a dress or two if it does turn out to be a little girl. In all honesty, we really don’t mind either way. A little brother would be lovely for Austin as he has all girl cousins, but a little girl would be nice for us, as we would have one of each. But we really aren’t fussy either way.
The pregnancy so far has been very sicky. I got really quite bad morning sickness at about six weeks, which has really only just subsided to the odd occasional day of sickness. I did have to take anti-sickness tablets on many occasions just to be able to function to do things like work, look after Austin etc. It’s also been incredibly tiring in the first trimester. I think it’s worse because of all the sickness. Luckily, my contracted hours at work have been reduced, so I have been able to take a few naps here and there and my husband and extended family have been really good.
Now I’m fully in my second trimester, I do have less sickness and much more energy. I’m enjoying my growing bump. I’m still waiting for this pregnancy warmth that people say about – I never got it with Austin and was freezing all the way through winter with him too, but you never know!

I look forward to sharing more updates with you over the coming months, but thanks for popping by and reading about our exciting news.
