Let’s talk about sleep. Oh, sleep, lovely sleep. I bet you, like me, would love a bit more sleep. I’ve got two young children who are always on the go. They get up early and so when I go to bed, I’m asleep in minutes. There’s never enough time for sleep. Do you feel like me? Or, is it that you are getting enough time in bed, but actually you aren’t getting good enough sleep? It’s an interesting question. So to improve the quality of our sleep, my husband and I have been trying out the very fancy Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress and so I thought I’d share my thoughts in this Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress review post.
Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress Review
We were gifted the mattress for the purposes of this review, but as always, my opinions are my own.
The Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress is a hybrid mattress that offers comfort, support and a whole boatload of features that are designed to improve sleep quality.
Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress Construction
The Origin Hybrid Pro is built with eight layers of high-performance materials, including graphite-infused premium latex, cooling comfort foam, and 5,700 aerospace-grade TitaniumCoils. These layers work together to create a little cloud of comfort and support for you to sleep on.
The star of the show is the HexaGrid technology, a layer that adapts to the shape of your body and relieves pressure by up to 35.9%. For people with back or joint pain, this could be a game changer. My husband often suffers from a bad back and he feels the unsupportive nature of previous mattresses has contributed to this. He’s been super impressed with the Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress so far. He’s waking up in the morning feeling refreshed and without the usual aches and pains in his back after a night’s sleep.
We’ve always struggled to find a mattress which suits us both. I’m a side sleeper who prefers a softer mattress. I don’t suffer from much in the way of aches and pains. My husband prefers a firmer mattress which supports his back. We’ve tried memory foam mattresses in the past, but we’ve found them quite hot as the night goes on.
So far the Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress has provided him the support he wants from a more firm mattress, but I’ve been able to enjoy the softness I want from the Polar Silk Tencel Pillow Top layer. It feels lovely and is really nice and soft to lay on.
Cooling Nature
If you tend to overheat during the night, the cooling features of this mattress might just be your best friend. We’ve found the combination of graphite-infused premium latex and bamboo-infused wool layers in the Origin Hybrid Pro has been great at keeping us at the right temperature during the night.
Motion Transfer
This mattress is super clever, as it has a layer of ErgoCoil Steel MicroSprings which helps each person in the bed to get a more restful night’s sleep. I’m quite a light sleeper and I find I get woken up by my husband moving about in the bed, but so far I feel that the new mattress has prevented some of the wakeups – which is giving me a better quality sleep than I previously had.
Mattress Longevity
I’m super impressed by the engineering that has gone into creating this mattress. There are so many carefully thought-out layers to enhance your sleep and you won’t have to worry about sagging or the mattress losing its shape over time, which is often an issue with cheaper alternatives. Origin backs this up with an impressive industry-leading 15-year warranty.

Family Friendly
There are lots of features which make this a good choice for parents (as well as other people), but I like that the mattress is free from harmful chemicals, so my little ones can come in and snuggle down for a morning cuddle. Our kids don’t often sleep in our bed, but if they did, I bet the micro springs would do a fantastic job of limiting how much you feel the wriggly rascals moving around during the night.
I’ve been really impressed with the quality of this mattress.
