It’s Too Big
For most people, the biggest reason to downsize and sell a larger property to live in a smaller one instead is due to the size of the place. Yes, the property might have been ideal when your kids were all at home or if you ran a business from home and you needed more space – or any other reason – but if that’s no longer the case because it’s just you or you and a partner living there now and you don’t need so much room, downsizing is a great option.

There’s a lot of maintenance that has to be done when you’re a homeowner, and the larger the property, the more work there is to do. If the house is an older property as well, then there’s probably going to be even more work to do.
