Santa Steam Express Preview

If like me you’ve got a young child who loves trains, then you should seriously consider a trip on the Santa Steam Express this year. The train ran for the first time last year and, after its popularity, returns again this year for four dates in December.
The Santa Steam Express is operated by Steam Dreams Rail Co. and will run from London Victoria on the 14th, 16th, 19th and 21st of December 2022. There will be three departures per day at 9:30 am, 11:45 am and 2:00 pm.
The lucky passengers will be treated to a one hour and 15-minute journey via steam train around London, taking in the sights and sounds. During the ride, Father Christmas will visit each child and bring a Christmas gift. They’ll start their journey will a drink and a festive treat. For the grown-ups, they can enjoy a warm drink and a delicious mince pie during the trip.
There are two classes available to book. Standard class will offer the adults tea and coffee with a mince pie on arrival. Standard class passengers will be seated around tables of four in the 1970s carriages with large picture windows.
Adults in first class will be served mulled wine and mince pies and will be seated in the spacious, modernised 1970s first class carriages.
This sounds like the most magical experience for children and adults alike. If you like the sound of taking a trip on the Santa Steam Express then you’d better act quickly as tickets are selling fast. I can’t wait to take our family on this exciting trip and look forward to the memories that this will give us for years to come.
Standard class tickets for the Santa Steam Express are £40 per adult and £30 per child. First class tickets are £50 per adult, £40 per child or £275 for a group of six. You can book on the Steam Dreams website.
