When it comes to getting a good night’s sleep, I can personally tell you that the right duvet can make all the difference. So that being said, here is what I thought of my Simba 3 in 1 Hybrid Duvet.
When I get asked to review anything to do with sleep, it’s a dream – pun intended. It’s literally like sleeping on the job. After testing the Simba Hybrid 3 in 1 Duvet for a couple of weeks, I can confidently say that this a duvet which is worth the price tag.
When you unzip the handy case that your Simba Hybrid 3 in 1 Duvet comes in, you can feel the quality instantly. The cover is made from cotton, which is not only soft to the touch but also breathable. What really appealed to me about this duvet is the Stratos® technology. I’m someone who goes from cold to hot during the night. I can go to bed freezing cold and then wake up a couple of hours later feeling way too toasty. This duvet is perfect as it has been designed to help regulate your body temperature. The cooling tech gives the cover a slightly cool-to-the-touch feel, which is something I noticed immediately when I first laid under it.
The duvet is filled with Simba Renew Bio, an eco-friendly, breathable alternative to down. As someone who loves lightweight yet cosy duvets, this was a great balance. It feels airy and fluffy but still warm enough for those chilly nights. With what has been going on with the temperature over the last couple of weeks, I can confidently say that this duvet has adapted perfectly.
The Strato technology does seem to work really well. It absorbs excess heat when my husband and I get too warm and then releases it when our body temperature drops. I’ve found myself sleeping much more soundly since switching to this duvet.
I love the practicality of this duvet. Many premium duvets require professional cleaning but the Simba Hybrid 3 in 1 Duvet is machine washable at 40°C – YES! It didn’t take too long to dry either – other duvets we have seem to take days to dry, which isn’t ideal. Another great thing I noticed is that it retained its softness and fluffiness, without clumping or losing its shape. I’m done with duvets (and pillows for that matter) that, as soon as you wash them, they resemble a dropped dessert. Simba also offer some of the best pillows on the market. They have a great range, depending on the level of support and firmness you need. It’s worth taking a look to see which pillow might suit you.
Let’s be honest—this duvet isn’t the cheapest option, but if you are after a high-quality, eco-friendly, luxurious and feature-rich duvet, this ticks all the boxes. It being a hybrid 3 in 1 option, you will only need to buy one of these and it will suit, spring, summer, autumn and winter. Use the thinner 3.5 tog for summer, the 7 tog for spring and autumn and then join the two together using then join them together for a snuggly winter duvet. This duvet coupled with a luxurious duvet cover set and one of Simba’s small double mattress toppers is the perfect combination.
Would I Recommend It?
Would I recommend the Simba Hybrid 3 in 1 Duvet? Absolutely. I would say it is perfect for anyone who struggles with temperature fluctuations at night and wants a high-quality, durable duvet. It feels like a good weight and quality duvet to sleep under. If you’re serious about getting a better night’s sleep and don’t mind spending a bit more on a quality product, this duvet is well worth it.
