The Last Kiss Goodbye by Tasmina Perry

The Last Kiss Goodbye

Another amazing novel has been penned by Tasmina Perry. This one titled ‘The Last Kiss Goodbye’. The book starts with recently separated archivist Abby Morgan coming across a powerful photo of a man and woman. The man is an explorer and this is their kiss goodbye, before he heads off a dangerous mission.

Abby meets the woman behind the photo, Rosamund Bailey and throughout the book we are taken on a journey of how the couple met and their courtship back in the 1960s. As you can imagine, the story isn’t straight forward and takes an unexpected turn, revealing more than expected.

The characters in this book are brilliant. Strong, feisty, determined, independent and also gorgeous. They should their vulnersbilities in different ways, all which are very favourable to the likeability of the characters.

I also love the way the more historical scenes are penned, I had a real sense of being back in Rosamund and Dominic’s era and then could be immediately snapped back into Abby’s more immediate time.

I was fortunate to see and then go on to meet the lovely Tasmina at Headline Publishing’s Rooftop Book Club earlier in the year and you could clearly see the passion she has for her characters and how much she loves writing their stories.

This is definitely one you’ll want to clear an afternoon or two for, once you start reading, you’ll find you won’t want to put it down.

Great job Tasmina! I yet again adore your characters and this wonderful book.

The Last Kiss Goodbye is out in hardback now and will be available in paperback January 2016.

  1. This book sounds great, I love reading but it’s been ages since I had time to read a book sadly! Think I might snuggle up with a book in the Christmas holidays as a treat 🙂

You’d love these characters then. I think Tasmina writes the characters so well, you feel like you know them. Definitely one for the Christmas list.

  2. Sounds like my kind of book! My favourite time of year is the Christmas/New Year break. We go to the beach for a couple of weeks and I catch up on my reading. I’m definitely putting this one on my list. Thank you for the opportunity to link up at #LifeLoving and have a great week!

I love reading on holiday. We go away with friends every year and we do a lot of reading whilst chilling by the pool. It’s so nice to get away from everything with a good book. I’m loving Tasmina’s books, I wish I’d discovered her as a writer sooner, although it does mean I can go back to her older published novels. Hope you enjoy it!
