Keeping your wardrobe organised is such an important thing to do, but when you’ve got limited space, it can also be a very difficult thing to do – so difficult, in fact, that a lot of the time it can feel as though it’s easier to ignore the job than just do it. However, it’s a job that you should make time for because it will give you a chance to see what you own and enjoy it – or get rid of the things you no longer want, freeing up space for more. With that in mind, here are some useful tips for making the most of your wardrobe space – read on to find out more.

Prioritise Your Space

The first thing to do is to get rid of anything you no longer want or wear – that’s going to free up space and make it much easier to organise what you actually want to keep. You can sort your clothes by season, usage, style, and so on, and make your wardrobe layout much more useful so you’re able to find exactly what you want when you want it.

It’s also a good idea to store off-season clothes somewhere else. You could hire a storage locker, for example (although if that’s the case, you could also store some other things and have a big clearout, which could be good for you) or you might prefer to get some vacuum-sealed bags and keep the clothes in boxes under your bed, for example. That will give you loads more space in your wardrobe.

Get Fitted Wardrobes

If you’re struggling with traditional wardrobe space, fitted-wardrobes are a fantastic way to make the most of every inch you’ve got. Unlike a standard wardrobe, a fitted option will be built to your exact room measurements, including any currently unusable corners and spaces, so you won’t be left with any useless gaps or awkwardly shaped spaces.

The best part is your fitted wardrobe can be built from floor to ceiling, and it’s designed to work with your space rather than against it, making it ideal for maximising storage in a way you wouldn’t be able to do otherwise. You can also customise the wardrobe with shelving, hanging sections, drawers, and so on, so you can store what you want how you want it and not waste any space at all.

Rotate And Refresh

If you tend to wear the same few items time and time again, your wardrobe might feel a bit stale even if you actually have lots of clothes to choose from. If that’s the case, try to rotate items every few months or so so you’ve got different pieces at the front and centre.

Wardrobe Space

This is a handy trick because it means you’ll rediscover clothes you already have but don’t wear all that often, which is sure to save you money on buying new things and it’ll mean you get to wear different things, helping you feel good. Plus, it’s a great way to spot anything that’s worn out or you don’t like, giving you the chance to declutter and free up some space.
