I don’t know about you, but I’m always looking for ways to take care of my skin while introducing more natural products into my daily routine. If you’ve ever come across Tropic, you’ll know they have a whole range of skincare and makeup products which are much more natural. I thought I would try out their Tropic Feel Fresh Deodorant and report back what I found when I used this product in my Tropic deodorant review, so you can decide for yourself whether this deodorant should be one you should buy for yourself.
Tropic Feel Fresh Deodorant Review
I’ve been using the Tropic Feel Fresh Deodorant for around five months now, so I feel that’s a good length of time to be able to share what I think of my deodorant.
The Feel Fresh Deodorant from Tropic Skincare is a cream deodorant and antiperspirant, which already sets it apart from your standard spray or roll-on. It’s designed to stop sweat before it reaches the skin, while still feeling gentle, breathable and comfortable to wear.
What I Like About It – Tropic Deodorant Review
I’ll start by saying, as far as a deodorant goes, it really does the job. It keeps me feeling dry and fresh throughout the day without that tight, overly blocked feeling some antiperspirants leave behind. I love that it uses naturally derived aluminium salts, which help reduce sweat in a way that feels much gentler on the skin than traditional formulas. This was one of the reasons I researched an alternative in the first place. I was using another brand, Fussy, but I found that after a couple of months, it brought my armpits up in a terrible rash, which took weeks to clear. My Tropic deodorant doesn’t do this – or at least hasn’t done so in the time I have been using it, which, as I mentioned, has been over 5 months.
The texture is very different to other deodorants I have used. It’s a smooth, lightweight cream that glides on easily and absorbs relatively quickly. You just squeeze a bit out of the tube onto the ‘roll on’ end and then apply it under your arms. I will say it takes longer to dry than a traditional spray deodorant, but it’s much quicker than other roll-ons I have tried. I usually put my deodorant on straight after the shower, get dressed, minus my top, give the bathroom a quick clear after my shower, and then I’m ready to pop my top on. I would say it takes around 3 – 4 mins to dry. Probably in the summer it would be quicker.
The info on the Tropic website says it doesn’t leave white marks on clothes. I have had a couple of occasions when I first started using it when I did get some white marks, but since I have started using less and letting it dry properly, I have had no issues. So there’s a top tip for you.
Natural Deodrant
What I particularly love about the Tropic deodorant is how skin-friendly it is. Ingredients like bisabolol (from chamomile) help soothe and calm the underarm area, while tea tree and gingergrass extracts help combat odour-causing bacteria naturally. It also contains vitamin E and shea butter, which means it actually conditions the skin rather than drying it out. My armpits definitely feel lovely since I have been using it.
The scent is fresh but subtle. It’s a soft citrusy smell that doesn’t overpower your perfume or linger aggressively. It just makes you feel clean.
Tropic Deodorant Review
This is one of those products that feels thoughtfully made. It balances performance with care really well. It’s powerful enough to keep sweat and odour under control, but gentle enough that your skin doesn’t feel irritated or stripped. It’s definitely a much more natural deodorant than ones I have used in the past, and I feel like I’m making a good choice for my body. If you’ve struggled to find a deodorant that works without compromising on what you are putting on your skin, this is a brilliant option. I’d happily recommend the Tropic Feel Fresh Deodorant.
