June to August is the most popular time for a reason. You will experience the glorious sunshine, and warm water ideal not only for swimming and water sports but also for having a good time in the towns with plenty of buzz and life and louder nightlife.
It’s also the most crowded and expensive time. Expect higher prices for charters, marina berths, and restaurants. Finding secluded anchorages can be challenging, and popular tourist destinations might feel overwhelming.
April to May and September to October offer a delightful balance. The climate stays warm and shiny, easily tolerable for ambling and outdoor activities. As masses of tourists disappear from the islands, the whole journey becomes more peaceful and pleasant, and you can get charters and lodgings at unbelievable prices.
However, if you are on a limited budget and don’t mind an uncomfortable climate, November to March will satisfy you with the cheapest boat rentals and total absence of crowds.
