Bally’s Las Vegas

Bally’s Las Vegas

When we were researching going to Las Vegas it was quite a minefield deciding where to stay. Location-wise it made sense to be on the main strip and then base ourselves from there. I read a lot of great reviews about a hotel called Bally’s, which is part of the Caesar’s group.

Bally’s is located about half way down the strip, literally opposite the Bellagio. Its neighbouring hotel is Paris which is part of the same group and is joined internally by a walkway.

Our Room

On arrival we were checked in and told we had a room on the 25th floor. The views from the room were absolutely astounding. Our window overlooked the High Roller big wheel and we could see a lot of the other hotels, including Flamingo, Caesar’s Palace as well as the moody mountains in the background. The view was particularly spectacular at night when the lights of the city came alive and also at sunrise where the soft glow of the sun crept over the sand lighting up the city in a warm fuzz.

The rooms at Bally’s are amongst some of the most spacious. We had a huge bed, sofa and arm chair, very large TV, desk and tonnes of storage. The room was really modern with things like USB charging ports in the bedside lamps. Genius for those overnight phone and camera charges. The bathroom was also very spacious and they didn’t skimp on the towels. I hate it when you go somewhere and they give you one towel. Hello! I need to wash and dry my hair too.

Not only was the bed huge, it was also so comfortable. I slept so well for the whole week. The only thing I would add to the room is a kettle. I’m a big tea drinker especially in the morning. There was a coffee machine but no tea. But that’s probably because I’m a Brit and I love tea I know that’s not so typical for Americans.

Not only is Bally’s in a great location, it’s also well connected. As I mentioned you can walk through to Paris and it’s plethora of shops and restaurants. You can also hop on the monorail right from inside the hotel. There’s also a dedicated point where you can pick up your Uber or Lyft.

The hotel has some great facilities. A large pool, shops, a number of restaurants and eateries including a food hall for cheaper fast food, a theatre, tennis courts, and of course the casino its self. The casino is well laid out with ample space between machines, unlike some of the other hotels we visited which felt a bit cramped. There’s also an outside market where you can shop, get a bite or stop for a cocktail.

We enjoyed our stay at Bally’s immensely. The people were friendly and helpful and the hotel was absolutely spot on in terms of location and facilities. We couldn’t have asked for more!
