Bibetta UltraBib Review
Gifted – Two UltraBibs were sent to me for review purposes.
If you’ve got kids, you’ll know that weaning is a messy business. We’ve just started to wean Austin, so we knew we needed some essentials to get us through this messy time, so here’s my Bibetta UltraBib review.
Bibetta sent us one of their UltraBibs to try out and I must say I’m very impressed. First impressions, I really like the designs available. They are varied and exciting. We chose the grey dinosaur one, which Austin seems to like very much.
On the functionality side, there are lots of plusses. It is very easy to slip on once Austin is in the highchair. The sleeves are nice and wide with the cuffs being elastic. That makes it easier to get on and stay on. The Velcro on the back is a decent size and so it stays in place, even if Austin pulls on it.
The body fabric is neoprene and the sleeves are waterproof, perfect for just rinsing down either before or after the meal. You can see here that Austin has got carrot down it and after just one rinse it is clean and ready to go.
At the moment, we have just started Austin on some purees that we are feeding him, but the UltraBib is really versatile as it has a fold-up pocket. Perfect for when he is learning to feed himself. It will catch anything he drops and he can fish it out and eat it up. The UltraBib is also really soft. I’ve seen a few plastic pelican ones and they are pretty rigid. I wouldn’t be that happy about putting that against his delicate neck. Bibetta have also thought about Mums and Dads and their needs. The UltraBibs are washable by hand or machine at 30 degrees and they can be dried in a tumble dryer too. That’s very handy!
