Got a girls’ day in the diary? Good – you deserve a day to yourself to chill out with your best gal pals! Whether you’re staying in or heading out with a picnic hamper, make sure you spend some quality time with the women who love and appreciate you!

But to make your day together even more special than it already was, whip up some scrummy food options everyone will want the last bite of.

And if you’re not too sure what to make (or you’d love one or two more ideas to add to the buffet table), here are three choices that everyone will love digging into.

This is a collaborative post.

A Charcuterie Board

Who doesn’t love a cheese board with all the right accompaniments? Crackers, water biscuits, grapes, deli meats, figs, honey, olives, slices of various tropical fruits, a bit of wine in your glass, and even just chunks of bread or croutons.

You really can put whatever you like on a charcuterie board, and that’s what makes it such a strong choice for a girls’ day!

An Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea is a delightful dish that always deserves a spot on a special pamper day. A good cuppa tea, a scone with as much cream and jam as you’d like, and plenty of tiny cakes and finger sandwiches to munch through.

Prepare a spread like this and it might just become your new favourite tradition for girls’ days like these!

You don’t even need to leave the house to grab your ingredients or, indeed, book an afternoon tea session at a hotel. You can order yourself an afternoon tea by post in the two to three days before your girls’ sesh happens and then have it on your doorstep ready to be eaten!

A Mega Pizza

Now, a pizza would be a fine addition to your buffet table, we all know that. But seeing as we’re having a girls’ night (and those only tend to happen once in a blue moon these days), we need to push the boat out a little.

That’s right, we need to take pizza to the next level. And that means getting your hands a bit doughy and spreading plenty of flour over your kitchen counters; you’re about to put a proper mega pizza together.

Have plenty of fun with this, as it’s the kind of cooking activity that doesn’t take a lot of time, and there’s plenty of room for error. Make the pizza base as big as you possibly can without it tearing (and also so it fits in the oven too).

And as far as toppings go, don’t stick to the rules here either. Put whatever you want on there, match up as many different flavour groups as you like, and feel free to get into a heated debate with the girls about whether or not your toppings are OK!

Got a girls’ day planned? Get the food just right to turn the day into a real treat!
