Must-Haves For Your Health and Well-being

This is a collaborative post

Well-being is a bit of a buzzword just now.  We are all on a mission to feel calmer, less stressed and more mindful.  If you want to live a life where you are more present and feel physically and mentally present – we have listed some must-haves to get you there.

Health and Wellbeing Apps

Although it might sound a little counterproductive – health and wellbeing apps that you can utilise on your phone or tablet can be very useful.  First of all, they can manage your screen time and set alerts to let you know when you may be using your device too much.

You can also get apps such as Calm and Mindfulness on a subscription basis that will give you access to calming sounds, stories, and more.  You can choose whether you are trying to sleep, meditate or relax.  If you have children, they even have a section that’s specifically for kids too.

A Fit Bit

The great thing about exercise is that it’s more fun when you don’t even know you are doing it.  If you get a Fit Bit it will track your steps for you and let you know exactly how far you have walked.  It will allow you to set yourself challenges and healthy goals giving you a fitter lifestyle. You can access key data about your average amount of steps, how they compare to the previous months etc.  If this isn’t something you already own, it’s definitely worth the investment.

Private Health Insurance

Private health insurance will give you peace of mind.  This means, not only can you receive care quickly and effectively should you need it – but you don’t have the added stress associated with any potential waiting times when it comes to getting a doctor’s appointment.

Access to a private GP in London will allow you to choose a day/time that is convenient for you, as well as any tests, or scans that would be associated with what you may require treatment for.  They can ensure that you see any specialist required in a time-efficient manner.

A Bit of Yoga

Yoga has many health benefits, and one of the main things people associate yoga with is a sense of calm. Although physical in nature, yoga is one of the only exercises that can actually leave you feeling more energised than you were when you began.

Health And Well Being

It has become so popular – you are bound to find classes in your local area that you can go to regularly.  You can get 1-2-1 classes too if you are a little shy at first.  Don’t forget the wonders of the digital age.  There are DVDs and YouTube channels to get you started if you feel like it too.  There isn’t a huge investment of money associated with this, and you will feel better all-round.

If you want to feel happier and healthier, we hope that this has given you some food for thought as to what you can do to invest in your mental well-being.
