Paulos Circus Review

I don’t know about you, but I haven’t been to the circus for ages. It’s been another live event that hasn’t been able to take place for a while and one that has been truly missed. So when Paulos Circus invited us to come and see their show, I jumped at the chance to go. So read on for my Paulos Circus Review.
Paulos Circus is coming to the end of their stint. They’ve been doing shows at the boot fair ground in Leybourne. The location is only a 20-minute drive from us and has easy access with lots of parking.
On arrival, the team there were super welcoming and showed us where we could sit. We had seats alongside the side of the stage, which gave us a brilliant view. That being said, the staging of the acts meant that you could see everything that was going on from all around the venue. In true circus fashion, the seats were in an extended semi-circle, but the acts moved around so that everyone could see the action.
What a treat. The acts were brilliant. There were some beautiful aerial displays with ropes and boxes, as well as a very strong couple who did some amazing balancing whilst supporting each other. I was mightly impressed by the beautiful fairy who walked the tightrope. She didn’t even look like she was going to fall. In between the acts, we saw glimpses of the ringmaster, who looked very impressive and a comedy duo who kept us entertained with some funny sketches alongside some clever tricks.
The acts were well balanced, it flowed well between them and I enjoyed the accompanying music choices. The costumes were also out of this world.
This is the first time we had taken Austin to any kind of live event. I’ll be honest, I did wonder if he would sit still throughout, but he did and he seemed very engaged. I asked him what his favourite part was and he said the lady and the spinning box. The circus is still running until this weekend (31st October), so there’s still time to visit. Tickets are a steal at just £8 per person. We had a great time and if you visit, I’m sure you will do too.
