Buying For Boys

Maybe because I have a boy, I do find buying for boys quite easy. But then again, I suppose it depends on the boy in question. I find boys toys quite fascinating and there are lots of gifting ideas to explore. With Christmas fast approaching, I’ve put together my ideas on buying for boys.
Jumbo Octopus Kite
When we went to the seaside on our holiday, we spent a long time trying to get our kite up on the beach. Unsuccessfully I might add! But this Jumbo Octopus Kite looks like it flies extremely successfully and it also looks very cool with its rainbow tentacles. I also like the way that you don’t know what colour you’ll get until it arrives – adds to the intrigue.
This is a great one for all ages.
GeoSafari SeaScope
This underwater SeaScope is perfect for investigating rock pools at the beach. It extends out to an impressive 56cm and has a 5x magnification, to really get a look at the creepy crawlies hiding in the seabed. Other features include a built-in LED torch and a thermometer
This is suitable for those aged 7+.
Sureshot Handbow
Knowing my husband, I wouldn’t be too sure if a child would get a look in on this one. This handbow is designed for children 6+ but I get the feeling the bigger children (aka the adults) would also want to have a go. It has a range of 10 metres and comes with a target which the sucker arrows will stick to.
Interactive Glow T-Shirt
I love the idea of this t-shirt. It’s really fun and such an unusual gift. The recipient can wear the t-shirt and draw on it using the included UV keyring. The picture lasts about 5 minutes and then you can draw again, and again and again…
The best bit is that it is machine washable, a perfect gift when buying for boys (and their parents who do the washing).
This t-shirt is suitable for ages 9 – 11.
Jump Rocket
Now I’m thinking this one is because I’ve always wanted to have a go on a jump rocket and I’ve not had the chance yet. Who doesn’t want to have a go really? You can start small and just gently launch the jump rocket, or go for a running jump and see how high you can get it. This jump rocket is even more exciting as the rockets will also glow in the dark. Perfect for evenings that are a bit darker a bit earlier.
