We all know that prices have been steadily rising over the last decade or so, but it does seem like things are starting to get out of hand. There are some things that this is noticeable with more than others, and it’s imperative that you understand what they are so that you can learn how to save when making these purchases. It’s not always possible, and it’s still going to be on the expensive side, but you can do it. First, we want to talk about clothes. Clothing has become massively expensive these days, with people now looking to buy the cheapest option they can find, in the hopes that it lasts them a few months before they have to pay for new clothes again. The quality is on the decline, and people are often struggling to purchase what they need. So, what can you do to make clothes shopping more affordable again?

You can start by buying some things second hand. Charity shops, vintage stores and other places like this all have some incredible clothes at a discounted price. As well as this, you can look to see if there is any way that you can reuse some of your friends old clothes, or your parents depending on your sizes.

Phones 

Another area where the prices have continued to rise is phones. Everyone needs a phone these days, to communicate with work or schools for instance. If you are shopping around for great prices then try and compare phone deals where you can. This will tell you where you can get the exact phone you want for the best price. You can also head into phone shops if you want to get a contract or even a pay as you go sim. 

Coffee

Lastly, if you love getting your morning coffee then you will have noticed the price sneaking up every so slightly over the years. This is simply due to inflation and the fact that the coffee is imported from places like Costa Rica and Brazil. This all adds to the cost, then you need to consider that the coffee shop need to make a profit so you are looking at paying at least £5/£6 for a standard cup of coffee. This is extortionate, especially if you do it everyday. 

Price of Things

A simple way around this is to buy your own coffee machine, which is a bigger outgoing that will save you money in the long run. You can then purchase your own travel mug and take your coffee with you in the morning. Gone are the days of rushing out to the coffee shop when you don’t’ need to.
