Organic Babies

Austin has been suffering a bit from dry skin on his legs. Obviously, him being so young, I didn’t want to use anything that wasn’t specially designed for babies of his age. So when The Green People offered to send me some items from their Organic Babies range, I thought this would be ideal.

The story behind the Organic Babies range is really nice. The Founder of Green People, Charlotte discovered her daughter had eczema. There wasn’t anything on the market that was suitable for baby skin, so she created her own.

The Organic Babies range is free from harsh chemicals and packed with active natural and organic ingredients. They are also developing 100% recyclable plant-based packaging made from sugar cane.

One of the products we were sent was the Soothing Baby Salve. It’s in a lovely chunky pot and smells of lavender. The perfect scent for helping little ones settle at night. The texture wasn’t what I expected, I assumed it would be a cream, but it’s more like a firm petroleum jelly. It’s easy to go on and a little bit goes a long way. A pot of this would last a while.

It feels really nourishing and instantly soothed his dry skin. I tried it out on myself first. I have some dry skin on my hands, from all the washing and sterilising, and it worked wonders on most of the dry skin. I do have one patch which is more stubborn and it didn’t really make much difference but across my dry knuckles it feels lovely. Plus I really like the smell!

The Organic Babies Salve is also supposed to be good for cradle cap and nappy rash.

The other product was the Baby Wash & Shampoo. This is ideal for helping to retain Austin’s natural oils and prevent his skin from drying out. This comes in two varieties, scent-free and lavender. The lavender is perfect for that pre-bedtime bath as it will help relax your little ones ready for a good night’s sleep.

The wash & shampoo lathered up really well and it seems to contribute to Austin’s dry skin being better so I would definitely give this a thumbs up. So if you are looking for a natural range for your baby, I would highly recommend you take a look at the Organic Babies range from The Green People. I was really impressed by the quality of the products. I also think the story behind the range and the ethics the brand adhere to makes it a great brand to support.

Disclosure: This is a collaborative post with Green People. They sent us the Silent Night gift set. But as always, my opinions are my own and we think it’s great!

I’ve heard of green people, I’ve got some of their sun cream but I didn’t know about this range. I’ll keep a look out and give this a try.

I’ve seen this on Waitrose and wondered whether it was any good as it’s a bit more expensive than the other baby products available. I’m going to get some to try for Flora next shop.
